Interview with CTK Alumni David

Chalmers Teknologkonsulter would like to introduce our next alumni David Fallgren. David has done a lot since his time at CTK and he told us a little bit about how his time as a consultant helped him out in the future.

Where do you work and what do you do?

I’ve started six companies total. My main job is as project manager for big geek events (NärCon Sommar, Comic Con), but I also run an esports bar and a event ticketing system.

What is the best advice you would give somebody that is thinking about joining CTK?

Do it. Easily the best experience I had at Chalmers. I wasn’t much for the Student Union activities, but CTK was a mix of great work life experience and social connection. I got to know people from all over Chalmers I still consider my friends today. My time at the university would have been way worse without it.

How did your work at CTK prepare you for the work you do today?

I got to practice doing sales and managing people, both key aspects of running and starting a company. I also got to be hands on on the culture building and other small things that makes the company tick. I still use a version of the CTK interview model to interview new employees, which is just one of many of the things I’ve stolen/burrowed from my time at CTK these last years.
