New members of the Management Team

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? What are you studying, which role do you have at CTK?

Bo: My name is Sirikun Loetsakwiman – Bo and I’m studying Entrepreneurship and Business design at Chalmers. And now I am a business area manager (BAM) at CTK.

Diaz: Hello everyone. My name is Yohanes Armediaz (people usually call me Diaz), and I am a first-year MSc Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering student in Chalmers. In CTK, I take up the role of Competence Area Manager (CAM) for the engineering team.

What made you apply to the position you have today?

Bo: Initially, I applied to CTK to increase my learning experience at Chalmers and in Sweden. I got a lot of good experiences since the first day due to CTK unique culture, especially people. CTK quickly became a place I want to be out of school, and I want to pay it forward. I also believe that the more I engage, the more I can learn. These make me applied to the management team.

Diaz: Upon joining CTK last year, I have been given various opportunities to only grow on a technical level, but also personally. This has allowed me to reflect on myself and wanting to grow further, especially on leadership. When the CAM role became available, I immediately applied for it to test myself.

What has been the most challenging so far?

Bo: COVID-19! All the campus activities started to close down after my first week of becoming a BAM. It posted a new challenge right away that we have a chance to think outside the box and find a way to pivot, just like everyone else globally. The distance working is also another challenge when working as a new team lead.

Diaz: Definitely leading a new team, especially in uncharted territory. We have quite a number of consultants who are new to the engineering team, so I think it is important to have a cohesive team by welcoming them. However, with the outbreak of COVID-19, we have to work from home, and it is definitely a great challenge having to assimilate them to the team remotely.

What are you looking forward to the most as a new CAM/BAM at CTK?

Bo: To learn, to share, to make the most out of my Chalmers years, and to create a cozy but rewarding working environment for everyone.

Diaz: I am looking forward to test and grow my leadership skills. Furthermore, I am also eager to know more about the consultants in the team, so that I can better plan on how to make the team gel better.
